Exercise...your imagination in the Star Wars EU! (and of course exercise anyway just to stay healthy)

I work at a company that encourages the employees to take time to exercise their imagination and more creative parts of themselves. I think this is so important in life. Everyone has their chosen professions or schools they attend, we all have responsibilities that need to be taken care of on a daily basis and we are all on the go constantly. Sometimes it is a good idea to get out of the "rat race" for a little bit of time and see where your imagination and creative juices take you.

I think anyone who is a fan of the Star Wars expanded universe is already on their way towards finding a way to express their creativity. Just think of all the adventures and storylines that have been established by talented Star Wars authors. How about all those illustrations, comic books, trading cards and art books that have given us another visual medium for exploring that galaxy far, far away? From fan films to short stories, costuming to video games, the Star Wars expanded universe can be a catalyst towards some fun, imaginative and much needed relief from a busy work week.

Speaking for myself, I am trying to find the time to work on drawing and sketching. Star Wars artists like Katie Cook , Grant Gould, Matt Busch, Randy Martinez and Denise Vasquez have inspired me to pick up my pencil and pad again after a very long hiatus. I have so many Star Wars illustration ideas that I want to sketch and I know that the key to accomplishing this is consistent practice. I also have been working on a Star Wars play script and toying with the idea of a young adult novel as well.

Do you have any creative Star Wars projects that you are working on? Let us know!

Episode 4 of the TJW Podcast is in the works and should be posted soon.

All the best for a a creative, imaginative and productive week!
